Seven Ways to Enjoy the Snow (and Ice) in Park City

We’ve gotten over a foot of powder in Park City in the past 48 hours, and we are ready to take advantage of the greatest snow on earth! For today’s post, we put together a list of the best ways to experience all the activities that are now open thanks to the winter conditions. Check it out below!
And, if you’d like us to help you plan or arrange any of these activities during your trip to beautiful Park City, be sure to call one of our Guest Service Coordinators at (866) 675-5455.
Skiing and Snowboarding – Park City is home to some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the United States. With three resorts right in Park City, and four more just around the corner, there’s no shortage of skiing opportunities nearby. To learn more, check out some of these popular local resorts:

In fact, in the coming years, you may even be able to access all of these resorts in one pass. To learn more about the One Wasatch concept, check out the video below.
Snowshoeing – There’s no better way to get out and explore nature during winter than snowshoeing. The Park City area has hundreds of miles of trails for you to explore. To learn more, check out the Mountain Trails Foundation.
Cross Country Skiing – While Park City is famous for its downhill skiing, many people forget that there are many great cross country skiing opportunities in the area. For more information on where you can find cross country ski trails, visit The Utah Nordic Alliance.
Snow Tubing – A great family activity during the winter is snow tubing. While there are many great places to tube in Park City, one of our favorite places is Gorgoza Park.
Heli and Cat Skiing – Are you a thrill seeker? Addicted to skiing fresh powder? Then, you’ll want to check out the multiple heli skiing and cat skiing opportunities in the Park City area. Both of these activities – whether by an all-terrain, tracked snowcat vehicle or by helicopter – will take you to backcountry skiing opportunities you just won’t find via a ski lift. Check out Park City Powder Cats and Heli-Ski or Powder Bird to learn more.
Ice Skating – Where there’s winter, there’s ice. And, where there’s ice, there are opportunities for ice skating. Whether you’re just learning or the next Dorothy Hamill, there are many great opportunities for ice skating in Park City. We really enjoy the outdoor skating rink at Park City Mountain.
Sleigh Rides – There are many different companies in town that offer horse-drawn sleigh rides. Some companies even offer dinner sleigh rides that feature Dutch oven cooked meals, cowboy poetry and live music.
